Welcome to the Manufacturing World!
There are two basic systems of manufacturing. They are job shop and mass production. Companies can use one or the other; or a hybrid of both. A job shop is where custom products are made. It would be like Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory. Mass production, on the other hand, is making large quantities of identical products. This production uses interchangeable parts, assembly lines, and custom machinery to streamline production.
