Puzzling Ping Pong Problem
Problem Solving Steps:
The Problem: You are to work in a group of four people to design a contraption to propel ping pong balls into a target. The target is to be five feet away. The lowest part of the opening of the target must be a minimum of 12” off the floor. The maximum size of this opening is to be 12” x 12”. The contraption may not use human power directly to launch the balls. (You can’t just shoot baskets). You will have five minutes to get as many ping pong balls into the target as possible. The contraption must use mechanical power (no explosions, no air power, no electricity, etc.)
